Bonjour,

My name is Lionel BEAUPERE, and I moved to South Carolina from France to this beautiful region that I truly admire with my family in the summer of 2023. Having achieved entrepreneurial success at home, I’m now looking forward to a new challenge here.

At My Frenchy Wine, we are new to the scene and have a lot to offer wine-loving South Carolinians.
We specialize in importing from smaller producers (more specifically from my region) with a diversity of French wines that are not as easily accessible to the United States.

I was born in Aix-en-Provence, a town in south-east France where the generous Mediterranean climate and beautiful scenery attract tourists all year round. Growing into a dynamic economical region, Provence has always been a region of rich history, art and culture with famous figures such as Paul Cézanne (precursor of Post-Impressionism and Cubism).

I am fortunate to have learnt from this region and its people. Today, I want to give back by introducing a wider audience to the products of a rich and passionate winegrowing tradition that dates back over two thousand years.

From an early age, I was surrounded by professionals in the hospitality business primarily through my father who was in the industry for some forty years in Aix-en-Provence. I became fascinated by wine in particular.
I originally started in fine dining and through this was given the opportunity to present wines in many establishments. I gained a wealth of knowledge and discovered I wanted to be a sommelier. This was the beginning of my new path.

I decided to leave my home region and move to Lyon, the gastronomic capital of France, in order to learn the trade in a demanding and auspicious environment. This experience enabled me to mature like a good wine.

I returned to Aix-en-Provence hoping to broaden my skill set and began working in a different form of service. These learning experiences allowed me to grow both professionally and personally. I was lucky to lead a company in the medical field that I developed to serve patients in need of at home care.

Ten wonderful years have gone by and it is time to return to “my first love”. I worked hard to set up my new and ambitious project. With my Wine Certification and my relationship with our producers to lend credence to my experience in the field I am excited to embark on this new adventure.

Today, I’m lucky enough to practice a profession that I’m passionate about. Through My Frenchy Wine, I hope to expose you to the delights of the wines we bring to the table.

I look forward to meeting you, to present my wines, and our future collaboration.

A bientôt.

Lionel BEAUPERE
